Dear Axel, Thank you for the measurement. Although 0.6-2 ms DPC latency is higher than optimal, it doesn't necessarily explain the dropouts. Please set the application priority back to normal, since it is not always helpful to increase it in Windows 7 and set the system performance to normal, then test these settings again. If your system is free of dropouts in this state, you can start to increase the system performance settings towards fast or even lower latency settings if it is required, until dropouts appear again. In case you still experience dropouts even at normal settings, please let me know. I've sent this message to you by email as well, please feel free to reply there. Thank you. Kind regards, SIMS Corp. ==================================== ¡á [Axel] Re. Frequent audio dropouts (2011-07-29 22:22) Thank you very much for your reply. I tried using the tool you sent me and here are the results: Current Latency: 666 Absolute Maximum 1971 "This machine should be able to handle real-time streaming of audio and/or video data without drop-outs." However, I noticed a couple of drop-outs while I was measuring and they did not show any peaks in the graph, so I'm not sure if the results are trustworthy. Also, would it be possible to contact me by the e-mail address I supplied? The reply button seems to be broken here. Thanks. |
